Greentree Montessori infant community is unique in its peaceful and natural setting. Young infants and toddlers are respected as active participants rather than passive recipients. They are encouraged to participate in every activity for the development of self awareness, self reliance, self respect and self esteem.
Young infants in Greentree Montessori enjoy Individual Attention & maintain an Individual Schedule. With one educarer to a group of 3 infants enables young infants to develop a stable relationship with a consistent adult as well as with a group of playmates at compatible stages.
Our infants will eat, sleep and play according to his or her own schedule. By staggering schedules of individualized feedings and care-giving activities, the caregiver can personalize each infant's feedings, nap times and activities and to suit the baby's individual rhythms. Our caregiver will keep records and inform the parents of daily happenings so parents may be most involved as possible in their baby's daily experiences.
Sensitive Interaction & Independent Playtime is secured everyday in the infant community. Care giving is used as an opportunity for an unhurried one-on-one dialogue with the baby. The educarer talks and "listens" to the baby, waiting the baby's responses before proceeding. This social interchange promotes cooperation as well as language development.
Every baby is given independent play times when they are awake and their other needs will be met. The educarer's attention at this time allows optimum development of motor skills, problem-solving styles, and self-esteem.
